You Can Hear It Your Own Way

Volume One

Volume Two

Coming Spring 2026
Coming Autumn 2026

The Album

Blending traditions, styles, and musical instruments from Yemen, Morocco, Israel, and the wider Arab and Western worlds, this groundbreaking new project aims to celebrate artistic collaboration while modeling the richness of difference. YOU CAN HEAR IT YOUR OWN WAY is rooted in the urgent conviction that no two people hear a song in quite the same way, and yet experience can be shared, sparking deeper human connection through sound, bridging divides and fostering understanding across diverse communities.

This sonic voyage uses music to bring people together at a time of growing social and cultural division. By uniting musicians from diverse traditions in genuine cross-cultural collaboration, it creates shared experiences that invite audiences to not only listen and feel, but engage across difference. The music creates a space for empathy—offering a model of coexistence beyond politics, language, or borders. Once completed, the work will be released widely and performed live, reaching new audiences, and strengthening intercultural networks. Designed as a foundation for ongoing collaboration, it will inspire future projects that bring people together through music.

Collaboration

This project brings together a diverse group of more than 20 artists to create a cohesive musical experience rooted in cross-cultural exchange. The album celebrates the richness of difference while modeling the magical cohesion across difference that artistic collaboration can achieve. The ensemble of musicians who joined to record Shai's songs reflects this mission. Their varied backgrounds are central to the project’s purpose: producing music with a sound that could only be created through collaboration, intermingling traditions and lived experiences.
