Shai Wetzer’s groundbreaking new album You Can Hear It Your Own Way celebrates artistic collaboration while modelling the richness of difference. Familiar yet fresh, with multiple languages and cultural influences, Shai’s music aims to bring people together.

Shai Wetzer Band brings this music to life through a collective of five versatile musicians, performing selections from the new album alongside re-imagined works from Shai’s earlier projects. The new band features Shai Wetzer (composer, drums, vocals, percussion), Yuli Beeri (vocals), Segev Harosh (vocals, oud, guitar), Daniel Rein (keys), and Daniel Ori (bass).

Yuli Beeri is a multi-disciplinary composer, producer, and performer with over 20 years of international experience across film, theater, and music. Founder of The Hive NYC, a prominent arts incubator, and creator of the industrial-experimental series Mecha Sonic Sessions. A "multi-hyphenate" artist known for high-impact collaborative projects, ranging from scores for the Fotografiska Museum to performing in world-renowned rock and world-music ensembles. www.yulabeeri.com

Segev Harosh is a multitalented musician and audio engineer based in New York City, specializing in both studio and live sound. With over 13 years in the music and entertainment industries, his work has taken him across the United States and internationally. He has collaborated with and supported respected artists and producers, including B.B. King, The Original Wailers, Robin Thicke, and Nelly Furtado, and has toured extensively with Lauryn Hill as her personal live sound engineer.

Band

Daniel Ori is an Israeli born bassist, composer and producer, and a prominent voice in the New York contemporary jazz and world music scene. He has performed worldwide and recorded with notable jazz musicians such as Lionel Loueke, Dave Liebman, Tim Hagans, Oz Noy, Mark Turner and Kenwood Dennard to name a few. Ori is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston as well as a winner of the 2009 ASCAP Jazz Composers Award. Daniel has released two solo albums, and is currently leading and co-leading multiple projects. His music has been described as fresh, communicative, lyrical and rhythmic. A blend of modern jazz with Middle Eastern roots and pan African influences.

Shai Wetzer is a Brooklyn-based drummer, composer, and producer blending global rhythms with experimental edge. A Berklee College of Music alum originally from Israel, Shai has toured worldwide and worked with artists across genres, including iconic Israeli band Kaveret (Poogy). Known for his versatile and dynamic style, Shai blends global rhythms with contemporary sound. His new cross-cultural project You Can Hear It Your Own Way fuses languages and styles offering a raw, emotional take on love and hope in our dizzy spinning world. Daniel Rein is a pianist, composer, and music director with extensive international experience in musical theater. He has served as Music Director for the European tour of Cats, Associate Conductor on the Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Tour, and performed on the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York. A member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, his recent compositions include And the Sun Goes Up (MasterVoices), Her Violet Eye (a Poe-based song cycle), and Improvisations on Misirlou for piano. An accomplished classical and jazz pianist, Daniel has appeared with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra and in major venues worldwide. He holds degrees from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, London. Daniel grew up in Jerusalem, Israel, amid a cultural mosaic shaped by Jewish, Christian, and Islamic traditions — an influence that continues to inform the breadth and versatility of his artistic voice. www.danielrein.com
